Forever 21 Goes Native

Forever 21 picked up on the Native American trend spotted on the runways and has made their signature 'affordable' versions.

  1. I am looking for a Native American leather craftsman/woman to help to fulfill a 25-year pledge to restore a great piece of native american footwear. Any ideas ?

  2. Forever 21 is gross. Exploitative labor and now cultural appropriation. Mmh... someone could make another documentary on the sick organization of Forever 21.

I saw the documentary - Made in L.A. a few years back when it was released -- http://www.madeinla.com

  4. Hi Jessica,

I enjoy reading your blog very much (I'm at UNM, Albuquerque in the Anthro Dept.-grad student).

Recently, I saw a young woman out and about wearing a skirt made of cloth decorated all over with kachinas.....wonder if its something "Forever 21" put out...I hate that place!

Anyways, thanks for keeping up this blog which is always thought provoking to read : )
