New York Fashion Week is underway (I'll post a review when it ends after September 15) and I'm expecting a healthy dose of 'tribal inspirations' to show up in the designers' collections.
About the popularity of the Tribal Trend, one L.A.-based non-Native designer had this to say:
"When life is chaotic, there is a desire for deeper understanding. At the end of the day, it's clothing, but there is more to it. Does globalization mean more than being connected electronically? I hope so. I like the idea of a mash-up of tribes."
