Sho Sho Esquiro 2012 Collection

Sho Sho Esquiro, an amazingly hip urban fresh Kaska Dene/ Cree fashion designer, just posted photos of her 2012 collection, and boy are they amazing.

When it came to displaying the designs, Esquiro enlisted the help of a couple folks she's worked with in the past, including photographer Anthony Thosh Collins and model Amberae Wood (note all images below are by Collins). The future (and present) of Native fashion is looking rather good (and by 'good', I mean 'fabulous').

Fabric and Leather weave embossed Shopping bags modeled by Native model Joleen Mitton at Pt. Roberts, Washington.
Houndstooth Brocade Jacket with Lace back, Leather sleeves and glass cut bead detail, paired with a Woven Skirt with Lace and Leather back worn by Native model Linsay Willier in New Westminster, British Columbia.
This dress is inspired by the Kaska Dene Legend "The Girl who Lived with the Salmon" - Salmon Skin with Glass Cut Beads, Sequins and over 1000 hand sewn Rooster Feathers worn by Joleen Mitton at Pt. Roberts, Washington.
